Have you been craving coffee but want an alternative to Starbucks? Or perhaps a cozy place to study? Coffee Daze is a small local coffee shop located on 3236 E. Douglas. They’re open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm on weekdays and close at 5:00 pm on Sundays. They have a variety of drinks and foods, all reasonably priced for younger people to enjoy.
The Peach smoothie was sweet, tangy and refreshing by far my favorite drink we ordered. This drink was part of the options for non-coffee drinkers such as their tea and smoothie options. Overall, I give the peach smoothie a 10/10.
I also ordered a Latte that came warm, and they even put some coffee art on it. The coffee was rich in flavor and had just the right amount of bitter. Coffee Daze also offers sugar if you prefer your coffee on the sweeter side. I give it 8.5/10.
The last drink I tried was “Apple of My Eye,” which is part of the seasonal menu going throughout the rest of February. “Apple of My Eye” is made with matcha, passion fruit and apple juice. The flavors are really balanced and complement each other apple juice passion fruit and matcha might raise a few brows, but surprisingly work great together. This was a solid 8.
We also had a couple of food items. The pastry I tried was a cherry Danish brought to us warm and it was the perfect amount of sweet and not overbearing. If you like cherry, this is for you 7/10. Our last food item is the tomato pesto panini. It was nicely toasted and very cheesy, not too heavy with the pesto and Instagram worthy cheese pulls 10/10.
When it comes to cleanliness the workers are very quick to clean up tables and floors aren’t sticky like many big chain coffee places I’ve been to before. The Atmosphere was cozy, music was great and so is the lighting perfect for IG photos and cute dates with its natural lighting and warm lights. For allergy catering they had lots of vegan and lactose free options for people with allergies and food restrictions. Also, safe options for people who aren’t into coffee with lots of smoothies and teas. My rating for this is 8.5 only for their few sugar-free and options; Other than that, they did great with displaying the ingredients and if an item was gluten free or not. Overall, I give coffee Daze a 10 out of 10 and should be on everyone’s must-tries.
